Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the Festival?

We are excited to announce a significant change for the 8th year of The Big Stomp music festival. In our efforts to expand and make the festival more accessible to everyone, we are moving from the stunning nature preserve at Jones Fields to the dynamic and convenient Waterfront Park in downtown Louisville.

We aim to provide an even better experience for all attendees, with easier access and a vibrant atmosphere. We are confident that this change will enhance the festival for everyone involved.

The location will be the Brown-Forman Amphitheater at The Louisville Waterfront Park, 1301 River Road, Louisville, KY 40202.

What are Gate Times?

Gates will open at 5:00pm on Friday, July 26th and at 11:00am on Saturday, July 27th.  Please check back as these times may change.

Check back for the full festival schedule.

The festival field will close at 11:00pm each night. All guests will have to leave the field at this time.

I have questions about festival tickets:

TYPES OF TICKETS:  Ticket types offered include: GA Weekend Pass, GA Friday ONLY, GA Saturday ONLY, Big Bundle Weekend, Big Bundle Friday ONLY, Big Bundle Saturday ONLY, Youth 14 years and under, and Youth 15-17 years. Click here for more information on ticketing.

NON-REFUNDABLE:  All ticket sales are final.  There are no refunds on tickets for any reason.

TICKET SALES AT THE GATE:  Tickets will be for sale at the gate as long as they don’t sell out during pre-fest sales. Tickets will be available for purchase at the gate each day of the festival until the festival is sold out. The cost of buying tickets at the gate will be more expensive than if you buy them in advance through the The Big Stomp website, and you face the possibility of tickets selling out, so it is a good idea to purchase your ticket beforehand.

Will bags or other items be searched at the Festival entrance?

We do respect your privacy, however for the safety of everyone at the festival, we reserve the right to search items you carry in, or your person, for weapons, outside alcohol, and any other prohibited items.  Please respect our festival rules.

Will re-entry be allowed?

There is no re-entry at The Big Stomp 2024.  However, festival goers who also purchase an RV pass, will be allowed re-entry.

Please keep in mind, any time you enter the festival field, you will be subject a search for non-allowed items.

Is the festival family friendly?

YES we are family friendly!  We welcome guests of all ages and we encourage you to bring your family! Any guest over age 15 will require a ticket.  Children 0-14 are admitted free with a ticketed adult.  Limit 2 children per ticketed adult.

Is there parking?

GENERAL PARKING:  We are encouraging our festival guests to carpool. The festival does not offer parking.  There are paid lots near Waterfront park.  There is street parking on several streets in the area.  Any vehicles left in lots overnight are subject to tow, and any vehicles parked in areas not designated for parking will be towed.  The festival will not be charging for or regulating parking.  Any parking tickets purchased from The Big Stomp will be refunded within the week of the announcement of our move to Waterfront Park.

PREFERRED PARKING:  Big Bundle ticket buyers had a preferred parking pass option.  If we are able to offer a preferred parking option to Big Bundle ticket buyers, we will announce that.  Otherwise these parking tickets will also be refunded.

VOLUNTEER PARKING:  Volunteers will be expected to secure parking in public parking areas just as any other ticketed festival attendee.

Are dogs and pets allowed at the festival?

No pets are allowed.

Although we fully understand the love and comfort our pets can offer, pets will not be permitted.

Service animals are allowed.  We will adhere to Federal ADA regulations for service animals.  Please keep in mind this is limited to a service animal as defined by ADA Regulations. Animals not meeting the definition of a service animal as defined by the ADA, will be turned away at the gate.

Although we fully understand the role an emotional support animal can play, these are not service animals as defined by ADA regulations.  In order to balance the safety and wellbeing of all attendees, we must ask that you attend the festival without an emotional support animal.

In accordance with Federal ADA regulations, service animals are allowed.  Please keep in mind this is limited to a service animal as defined by ADA Regulations. Please see the section about pets at the festival.

Guests with mobility limitations will be able to access every part of the festival grounds. However, some of the terrain is slightly inclined, so please take caution and ask a neighbor for assistance if needed.  There will be ADA restrooms available.  We encourage all guests with mobility limitations to enjoy The Big Stomp as much as anyone.

How can I apply to be a craft or food vendor?

To apply, please visit www.TheBigStomp.com and select the “Vendor Form” tab at the top of the web page.

We work hard to curate the perfect food truck line-up each year for The Big Stomp.  In addition, each year we work through hundreds of inquiries from craft vendors to find the craft items we feel will best add to our festival goers experience.  If you think your food truck, or your craft items will add to The Big Stomp experience, please fill out an on-line application and submit it to us.   We do not accept vendors on a first-come first-served basis.  Rather we make selections based on who we feel will be the best fit.  Selections will be made on or before June 30, 2024.

What is a Big Stomp Ticket Ambassador?

Earn back your ticket price by getting your friends to attend The Big Stomp with you. Become a Big Stomp Ambassador with a code to share out to your friends and family. You earn back the cost of your ticket, and anyone using your code gets a discount.

How it works: Our ticket system will generate a unique code for each ticket buyer. The code will be in your confirmation email. Share the code with your friends and family. Each time a General Admission or VIP Big Bundle ticket is purchased using your code you will get a credit toward their purchased ticket in the amount of $10.00. When a Youth ticket is purchased using your code, you will get a credit toward your ticket in the amount of $2.00.

We keep track of sales with each code, and credit you/our Ambassador, up to the amount of your original total after the conclusion of The Big Stomp 2024.
Remember, too, when a ticket buyer uses an Ambassador code, they will receive a discount of $5.00 for a General Admission or VIP Big Bundle ticket purchased and a $2.00 discount for a Youth ticket purchased. This gives them an incentive to use your code!

If you’ve already purchased your ticket: We will send you an ambassador code by resending your confirmation email. This new confirmation email will include your original ticket and a link you can follow to receive your unique ambassador code.
